THE MOTOGP CHAMPIONSHIP HEADS TO ITALY – DESTINATION MUGELLO

The MotoGP Championship 2018 calendar has a few particularly important rounds for the Aprilia Racing Team Gresini. One of these is undoubtedly the first home race for the Italian team on the Tuscan Mugello circuit. It is an “old school” track, with very fast corners and a spectacular braking section at the end of the long finish straight.

This is the home race for which Aprilia has prepared with a test session used by Aleix Espargaró and Scott Redding to dial in the setup on the RS-GP.

ALEIX ESPARGARO’

“The next two GP races are very important for me and for Aprilia. Mugello is the team’s home race and then we will go to Barcelona. I have trained hard to prepare for these two races. We need to stay one hundred percent focused. These are two extremely fast tracks where will we need all the power we have. We have prepared for the races with a test session on each of the two circuits and my goal is to keep growing, always giving it my all.”

SCOTT REDDING

“In Le Mans, the best session of the weekend was the race and I want to start from this base. I hope to be able to use the data collected in the Mugello tests, where the sensations were positive. The conditions will inevitably be different, but I want to keep my head down and work hard, move forward with the work programme and see how far we can get.”
