TEAM QJMOTOR GRESINI WRAPS UP THE AMERICAS GP IN THE TOP13

The third race of the season did not start off well for both QJMOTOR Gresini Moto2 riders, with Arenas who from fourth on the grid found himself down in eighth place after turn one. After showing a good pace in the first half of the race, his feeling dropped and made his ride difficult as he crossed the line twelfth. A jump start made life difficult for Gonzalez, who was forced to a double long-lap penalty. Despite the setback, the Spaniard managed to bounce back from 19th place to the top-15, before bridging the gap with his teammate and finishing thirteenth.

Team QJMOTOR GRESINI Moto2 wraps up what was a complicated weekend and is now looking ahead at the next event on the calendar, taking place at Jerez, eager to make amends.

12th – ALBERT ARENAS #75

“The race didn’t go as I’d liked: we improve a lot during the weekend but we couldn’t perform today. We took the wrong direction, now we need to understand what went wrong to learn in order to learn. It’s key now to analyse the first three rounds: we have the speed and we need to understand how to put it to good use in the race. We’re already concentrating on Jerez to improve in this area.”

13th – MANUEL GONZALEZ #18

“Today, nothing went the right way: the start first of all, as I had to do a double long-lap penalty which cost me a lot of ground. From there, I tried to recover as many places as possible but I was struggling on both corner entry and exit. We need to learn from this complicated weekend in order to not repeat the same mistakes. I would like to thank the team for the work done, we’re on the good place in order to be the best this year.”
