JEREZ TEST: A BITTER-SWEET DAY FOR THE QJMOTOR GRESINI MOTO2 TEAM

The Team Moto2 QJMOTOR Gresini Racing is still in Jerez, for one last day of test before flying back home. Filip Salač tried different things, starting with a new fork with which he did a big step forward, both when riding solo and in terms of race pace.

A bitter day instead for Jeremy Alcoba, who after Sunday’s complicated race tried some modifications to the setting, but still couldn’t find the perfect feeling with his bike. A crash in turn 11 ended this bad day, fortunately without consequences for the #52 rider. Next week there will be the fifth round of the championship in France: a new opportunity for the Spaniard to redeem himself.

11th  – FILIP SALAČ #12 (1’41.877s – 51 laps)

“A very important test for us, especially on this track where we suffered a lot last weekend. We tried various things to try to improve in this type of corner, in particular the new fork which allowed us to take a big step forward both riding alone and in the race pace. Unfortunately a small crash anticipated the end of the day, fortunately without consequences: we are ready for Le Mans”.

16th – JEREMY ALCOBA #52 (1’42.696s – 54 laps)

“Unfortunately this day of test didn’t go exactly as I expected, the feeling wasn’t good during the race so today we planned to try several things, which didn’t give me the sensations I was looking for. I expected more both from myself and from the feeling with the bike. During the last session we decided to try a new fork, with which Filip improved in the previous session, but unfortunately I crashed at turn 11, luckily without consequences for me. We go home with a bit of disappointment, but with our thoughts already on Le Mans, ready to work: another race means another chance for us to improve and to grow”.
