THE GRESINI MOTO2 TEAM IS READY FOR THE LAST DOUBLE ROUND: AUSTRALIA AND MALAYSIA
After a weekend off, we are on the road again for the last double run before heading back to Europe: Australia and Malaysia. The morale of the Gresini Racing Moto2 is high thanks to the first podium of the season conquered by Filip Salač in Thailand. The first race will be in Australia, at the Phillip Island circuit, famous for its breathtaking view on the Ocean, where in 2019 the Czech rider made his debut riding the Moto3 bike number #12 fighting for the top positions. This year he will have to readjust his riding style to his Kalex, but the chances for a good result are high.
The following round will be in Malaysia, one of the longest circuits of the MotoGP calendar with its 5.5km length, where high temperatures and humidity will be protagonists. Both tracks will be a first time for Alessandro Zaccone, who is ready to get into the game from the first free practice sessions to discover all the secrets to be fast at Phillip Island and to survive the equatorial climate of the Sepang International Circuit.
Moto2 track action starts on Friday at 10:55 (GMT +11) with the first free practice session.

“I can’t wait to get on track for the next races after the great result in Thailand. I was in Phillip Island for the first and last time in 2019, it was my first year in Moto3 and I was fighting for the podium. This is to say that I really like this track and our target will be the TOP10. It will be a bit more difficult in Malaysia, it will be the first time for me with a Moto2 in such hot conditions. We will see, I will try to have fun and bring home a good result.”
