THE GRESINI MOTO2 TEAM IS READY FOR THE GRAND FINALE: VALENCIA

Valencia – Race Preview The last round of the 2022 season will be on Spanish soil, to be precise in Valencia, at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, where last year Gresini Racing Moto2 had climbed the second step of the podium with Fabio Di Giannantonio, this year lined up in the MotoGP grid. The goal is to replicate the result with Filip Salač, who has always been fighting for the podium in the lower category on this track. The Czech rider, who is still recovering from his left hand injury from the previous round, will play it all to end this season in the best possible way, looking for his second podium of the year.

More modest goals for Alessandro Zaccone, who comes from two complicated rounds: the #61 rider wants to turn things around and get back fighting for the point zone in this last round of the season. Moto2 track action starts on Friday at 10:55 (GMT +1) with the first free practice session.

FILIP SALAČ # 12

“I can’t wait to get back on my bike for the last round of the season as Valencia is one of my favorite tracks and in the past years I have often been fighting for the podium. This time it will be more difficult because my hand is still injured from the crash in Malaysia and it will definitely hurt a lot, but I will give it my all to bring home a good result in this last race of the season.”

ALESSANDRO ZACCONE # 61

“I arrive in Valencia with my knee still hurting from Australia, but I want to try to end this season well: the last few rounds have been difficult and we want to redeem ourselves here so I will try by best looking for a good result.”
