RAIN AFFECTS OPENING DAY AT MISANO

With Gabriel Rodrigo forced to watch the action from home, the #EmiliaRomagnaGP got underway today with the only Jeremy Alcoba on track for team Indonesian Racing Gresini Moto3 in a Friday of free practice which was heavily affected by adverse weather conditions. More than ever before, the #52 went ‘back to school’ as he had never ridden in the wet at Misano prior to today.

He finished two and a half seconds away from the top, with slightly more than a second gap from the Q2 lot. Weather conditions will continue playing a key role this weekend, as Alcoba has shown his speed in dry conditions already, while the sun that was expected for Sunday may return to shine already from tomorrow.

FP3 will get underway at 9am local time (GMT +2), while qualifying will begin at 12:35-

 27th – JEREMY ALCOBA #52 (1’54.969)

“We improved a lot today, even though we’re far from the top of the timesheets. I basically had never ridden in the wet before here and I didn’t want to take too many risks. The feeling with the front is OK and now we need to focus on the rear-end, even though it may end up being dry for the rest of the weekend. I had a good feeling last time out here and we’ll surely be more ready if the weather will be on our side.”
