MANDALIKA: A CIRCUIT TO DISCOVER FOR THE TEAM GRESINI RACING MOTO2

#IndonesianGP preview. After an endless journey, the Gresini Racing Moto2 team has finally arrived in Mandalika, in the southern cost of Lombok. 25 years after the last Grand Prix in Indonesia, the MotoGP World Championship returns to this magical place, in the Mandalika Circuit, which is 4.3km long with 6 left-corners and 11 right-corners, all to be discovered by our riders, who have never been able to try this track yet.

It will be a weekend full of surprises: a new track, a new asphalt, and a truly unpredictable weather. Alessandro Zaccone told us that he has never been so far from home and for him it is  very emotional. After his debut in Qatar, which saw him growing session by session, he is ready to fight, on a track that is new for all the riders in his category, unlike the Losail circuit.

After brilliant qualifying on the Qatari track, Filip Salač also can’t wait to get back into the game: his crash in the first round of the championship did not demoralize the #12 rider, who will try to be competitive from the first session, considering the good feeling he has with his Kalex, and he will do everything possible to collect the first points of the championship on Sunday.

Moto2 track action starts on Friday at 09:55 local time (GMT+8), set your alarm clock!

FILIP SALAČ #12

“Second Grand Prix of the year. I don’t know exactly what to expect from this weekend: I’ve never been to this circuit, but I’ve studied it a bit from the various photos and videos and it looks really fun. We will try to work exactly as we did in Qatar, as it led us to do a good qualifying, but we’ll try to finish the race this time (LOL). I can not wait!”

ALESSANDRO ZACCONE #61

“This is my first trip that far from home, the emotion is huge. A new track for me, but this time also for the other riders in my category and this makes me feel a little less in disadvantage. It will be essential to analyze well how the conditions of the track changes with the weather, as here in Indonesia it is really unpredictable! The atmosphere in this place is magical, a new context that gives me that extra energy to go even faster.”
