TEAM FEDERAL OIL IMPROVES IN AUSTRIANGP SATURDAY

Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 placed both riders in #AustrianGP Q2 today and will see Fabio Di Giannantonio and Nicolò Bulega in row five and six, respectively, of the starting grid of MotoGP’s intermediate class.

This is a bittersweet result, as both riders keep struggling at this Stop&Go track – although the improvements have been clear. During FP3, Di Giannantonio logged a 1’29.091secs, a lap-time that would have placed him inside the top eight, while Bulega managed to find a surely better pace compares to last weekend.

The Moto2 race of the #AustrianGP will get underway at 12:20 local time (GMT +2), with an eye to weather forecasts – as always at this track.

15th – FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21 (1’29.450)

“We’re back to what we know at this track. This morning we made a big step forward and I finished with my personal best lap-time. We did good times also in Q1 with a good pace, too, while in Q2 I tried to get a good slipstream in order to understand the areas where I still lose some ground. We will need an ‘aggressive bike’ because we need to make up some positions.”

18th – NICOLÒ BULEGA #11 (1’29.624)

“We’re still struggling a bit although we’re seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. We improved, but also did the others so the gap has stayed kind of the same: I still struggle on corner entry so we need to keep working. Compared to last weekend the difference is huge so we need to see the glass half full, even though it’s still not enough.”
