BLESSED ALCOBA UNINJURED AFTER SCARY CRASH AT COTA

#AmericasGP race. Everything that could happen did happen in the fourth-last race of the 2021 Moto3 World Championship, and today’s best news comes from Jeremy Alcoba, who escaped practically unhurt from a multiple crashed triggered by a (crazy) move from Deniz Öncü. The Turkish rider literally cut in front of the #52, who ends up on the ground while first Migno and Acosta both run over his bike and end up flying in the air – fortunately without consequences.

Two red flags, one sprint race ended with the aforementioned crash and a sixth-place finish based on the classification after the first seven laps of the original race. After such a day, the race result has very little relevancy, with Jeremy Alcoba only suffering a couple of small wounds on the index finger of his right hand and one on his right elbow.

6th – JEREMY ALCOBA #52

“I got scared… you can overtake me and keep that line on a straight without coming towards me. I crashed while in sixth gear, probably at 200 km/h and I knew I had plenty of riders behind me: this is why I got really scared. Fortunately we are all well – Acosta and Migno included – which is the most important thing. We deserved something better in terms of results this weekend and I think we had a chance of winning the race.”
