MISANO: BOTH RIDERS IN THE TOP 13 IN FRIDAY’S COMBINED TIMES

It was a positive start for the standard bearers of Team Moto2 QJMOTOR GRESINI RACING, who were both in the top 13 in the combined times of today’s FP sessions, and therefore both inside the Q2 lot.

Filip Salač had a good feeling with bike despite finishing 14th in FP1 and having a small crash. In the afternoon session, he focused on the race pace, which was consistently fast. The rider #12 completed a total of 24 laps and with a personal best of 1’36.802 he is currently eighth and confident about improving some more tomorrow morning as he will go for the time attack.

Jeremy Alcoba had a bit more of a difficult time in the morning but bounced back in the afternoon as he set a 1’37.002 lap-time to also finish in the top 13. The Spanish rider will need to confirm today’s performance also in tomorrow’s FP3 session in order to seal the direct access to Q2.

8th – FILIP SALAČ #12 (1’36.802)

“It was a positive day; in the first session I had a little crash but nothing too serious. We didn’t use new tyres, we lapped with the hard tyre and the feeling was good. Then, in the second session it was hotter, and we immediately took to the track with new tyres, we lapped with an excellent pace and made a good step forward: we’re back!”

13° – JEREMY ALCOBA #52 (1’37.002)

“We struggled a bit this morning, but then we finished well and I’m happy. In the second session we made some modification, then by following Lowes and Acosta I understood where I could improve and where I could risk some more. Thanks to the good feeling with the bike, we managed to improve. We want to get directly into Q2.”
