MOTOE: THE SHOW RESTARTS FROM SILVERSTONE

It’s time to get back on track also for the two Italian riders of the Team MotoE FELO Gresini Racing who will ride for the first time ever the electric Ducati at the Silverstone circuit. Also this weekend there are going to be two races of 6 laps each, so a good start will be essential to battle for the positions that count right away.

We find Matteo Ferrari in second position in the championship standings, just 8 points from Torres: the rider from Romagna, who has already raced in the British track with a Moto3, can’t wait to challenge his rivals, whether it will be in the rain or under the sun, to try to conquer the top of the general classification.

On the other side of the pit-box we’ll find Alessio Finello who is very excited for this second part of the season: in fact, the number #72 spent the summer break training in the gym and on track. He is now ready to put into practice all the work done, making the difference in the next races. His main goal will be to bring home points in both rounds and be more consistent, especially in the second part of the race.

MATTEO FERRARI #11 (2nd in the standings with 136 points)

“I haven’t raced on this track since 2015: I’ve always loved it from the very first time I raced here with a Moto3, so I can’t wait to go back! In the first part of the season we did a really good job, our goal was to get here fighting for the championship and I can say that we achieved it. These last four rounds will be fundamental, we should study the tracks one by one in the best possible way: Silverstone in particular is a very fast circuit and analyzing our main opponent, who at the moment is Torres, we could have a small advantage in the main straight since I am slightly smaller than him. The most important thing will be to conquer points and try to lead the championship as soon as possible, hopefully already at Silverstone. We will have to pay attention to the weather, but given the experience gathered so far, I can say that we will be ready in all conditions: we made some mistakes in the first part of the championship, from which we learned. We therefore have the basis to be able to play it in all conditions. There are still many races to go and there are still many points in the game: it will be essential to stay focused and not put too much pressure on ourselves, we are fast and we just have to continue in this direction!”

ALESSIO FINELLO #72 (16th in the standings with 20 points)

“I’m not 100% satisfied with my first part of the championship, despite the obvious steps forward: during the season, seeing the improvements, I raised my target but I wasn’t able to reach it especially in terms of results. During the break, however, I trained specifically: I’m focused and I’m ready both physically and mentally. These weeks have given me a good boost, I also did a race in the Italian championship as training, and I can’t wait to get back on track. I’ve never raced at Silverstone: I really like the layout and I’m curious to discover it. The goal will always be to grow further and put the work of free practice into the race. I can’t wait to restart and do one more step in the final part of the season.”
