#HOMEGP: MOTOE DEBUTS IN MUGELLO
Race Preview – #ItalianGP This weekend the MotoE World Cup will face the spectacular corners of the Mugello International Circuit for the first time ever. Both FELO Gresini Racing Team riders will feel like home surrounded by the Italian fans and the magical atmosphere in this third round of the championship, that sees scheduled one race on Saturday and one on Sunday.
We find Matteo Ferrari in 4th position in the Championship Standings, just 13 points away from the TOP3. After a complicated Race2 at the French circuit, the rider #11 is looking forward to redeeming himself at his home track, where the strong emotions will give him an extra boost to aim for the podium.
This weekend will also have a different taste for Alessio Finello, who will race on a track he already knows for the first time in this season. All the attention of the rider number #72 will thus be focused on the feeling with its energica, which is constantly growing in this 2022.
The FELO Gresini Racing MotoE riders will hit the track for the first session on Friday at 08:25 (GMT +2)
MATTEO FERRARI #11
“We are ready for Mugello: last week the team and I had a very important briefing for me, where we studied again the positive aspects of Race1 and the step we’ve missed in Race2 in Le Mans, in more difficult conditions: we will work exactly on this. Racing home will be great, I’m really curious to try the MotoE in this circuit for the first time, the first braking may be tough! I’m feeling strong and confident that good results will arrive soon”.
ALESSIO FINELLO #72
“It will be exciting, it is the first home race in the world championship for me. This time I already know the track, but it is not completely an advantage, as the references will be completely different, but knowing the layout will allow me to be competitive and aggressive right from the first session. During this week off, the team and I managed to work from home: I want this race to be my turning point. The home race, the atmosphere, the people: it will be exciting and this will give me an extra boost”.
