SIXTH-ROW QUALIFYING FOR NAVARRO IN GERMANY

It has been another hard-fought day for the Moto2 class at Sachenring, where gaps between riders were once again very tiny. In this battle for the best starting position, Jorge Navarromanaged to make a small step forward in today’s qualifying and he will line up on the #GermanGP grid in 16th place.

The focus of the Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2rider was obviously the race, with many settings evaluated all for the hard tyre option, which will almost be a a mandatory choice for the ninth race of the middleweight class.

With the top-15 being the minimum goal for the Spaniard, the German Grand Prix for the Moto2 class will get underway at 12:20 local time (GMT +2).

16th – JORGE NAVARRO #9

“We made some changes to the bike this morning and I was not feeling comfortable. We sacrificed FP3 to lap with the hard tyre, which will be the one to use for the race, but I couldn’t find the answers I was looking for. In qualifying we tried something different: we went out on track with soft tyres and things went a lot better. We made a small step forward and tomorrow we will hopefully make another one. If our pace gets two tenths quicker we can stay with the top-10 riders and aim at a decent result.”
