NAVARRO LOOKING TO BUILD ON MOMENTUM IN FRONT OF HOME CROWD

No time to celebrate the first top-10 finish of his Moto2 career and Jorge Navarro is already on his way to the Circuit of Barcelona – Catalunya to take part in the seventh Grand Prix of the 2017 Moto2 World Championship.
The second home round could not come at a better time for the 21-year-old Spaniard, as Jorge can look back at his first-ever win at this track while enjoying the newly-found feeling with his Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 Kalex Honda machine.

With 13 points under his belt, seven of which came two days ago at Mugello, Navarro is now looking forward to building on the progress made in Italy – including the private test at Misano – and trying to aim even higher in front of family, friends and fans, who will gather together to support him at Montmeló.

The first hint on how the weekend is going to be like will be revealed in the first Moto2 free practice session, which scheduled to get underway at 10:55 local time (GMT +2) on Friday.

JORGE NAVARRO #9

“We just finished racing and it’s already time to get back on track at Barcelona. I have mixed memories of this venue: it has never been too kind to me but, at the same time, it’s where I got my first win – the best moment of my life so far! Now it’s one of my favourite circuits and we will get there in the right frame of mind and with great energy. We can get a couple of days off to recharge and be ready for my home GP, with the support of family and friends which will give me some extra motivation!”
