NAVARRO THINKS POSITIVE DESPITE UNSATISFYING QUALIFYING DAY

Jorge Navarro is enduring a more difficult weekend than expected a Le Mans, where the fifth Grand Prix of the Moto2 World Championship is currently being contested: with changeable weather conditions did not help the young Spaniard to find the right feeling with his Kalex Honda, Navarro has qualified in 21st place for tomorrow’s 26-lap encounter at the French circuit.

The Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 rider has had his second crash of the weekend today, on a track that saw him on the podium in Moto3 last year. Navarro will therefore need to make the most of tomorrow’s warm up to build come confidence back and get ready to challenge for points from the seventh row of the grid.

The Moto2 race of the French GP will gate underway at 12:20 local time (GMT +2)

21st – JORGE NAVARRO #9

“This morning we made a step forward, although our result did not show it fully. I was starting to feel comfortable with the bike: in qualifying, though, I couldn’t make the most of the first set of tyres, then it started to rain and I crashed out as I was entering the main straight. I lost my confidence there and couldn’t get it back. Obviously a seventh-row start doesn’t make us happy, but we still have the warm up to try and get some work done before the race, where I aim to finish in the top-15.”
