SIXTH ROW FOR NAVARRO AT CHANG INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT

The new Buriram circuit gives nothing for free and so Jorge Navarro, who is only 520 thousandths of a second away from Baldassarri’s pole, will line up on the sixth row of the grid after finishing qualifying practice in 17thplace.

It was a difficult day for the rider of Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 team, who despite the hard work done at the pit-box during FP3, was unable to find the best feeling with his Kalex Machine. Even with a good last outing (1’36.894), for the Spaniard it was a bit of a struggle, although the race pace is promising.

As it often happens in the middleweight class of MotoGP, the warm up will be crucial. The session will begin at 9:10 local time (GMT+7) and it will be extremely important for Navarro in order to find those couple of tenths that would allow him to make a big step forward in the race.

17th– JORGE NAVARRO #9

“It wasn’t our best day. This morning we made some changes to the bike and we tried everything in FP3 – but we couldn’t find the right settings. We started qualifying with yesterday’s set-up, even though I wasn’t perfectly comfortable with it until the last quick-lap with new tyres. We’re only half a second from pole position so if we improve a little bit then we can have a strong race.”
