NAVARRO BACK IN THE POINTS IN MALAYSIA

The triple Asian trip draws to a close with a crescendo for Jorge Navarro, who is 13that the finish line of the Malasyan GP and gets back in the points after two tough races in Japan and Austria. Navarro’s weekend was heavily affected by rain: if we consider the fact that this was his first Moto2 appearance at the Sepang International Circuit, today’s result can still be considered a positive one.

Despite very little track-time available in practice, the rider of Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 was able nevertheless to find a good set-up for his Kalex machine: after an aggressive start to the encounter, however, Navarro decided to have more of a “safer” race.

Today’s result keeps Navarro in the battle for twelfth place overall with Lequona, who is currently ahead of him by two points.

13th– JORGE NAVARRO #9

“Today’s race was difficult. Yesterday we made some changes to the bike which we thought were necessary, but we couldn’t try them in warm up. Yesterday’s feeling with the bike was not good, so we still opted to use the new set-up without being able to test it out prior to the race. I wasn’t very comfortable with the front-end of the bike and I was going wide at every turn; I also had a couple of moments. I came very close to the top-10, but things did not improve so I concentrated on finishing the race and getting some points. Now it’s just Valencia left, and we’ll surely give our best there – as always.”
