MISSED OPPORTUNITY FOR DIGGIA AT MUGELLO

#ItalianGP race. A crash brought Fabio Di Giannantonio’s race at Mugello to an early end and the disappointment is great, given the great start and pace displayed in today’s race. With eight laps left, Diggia made a mistake at turn 14 and despite returning to the track aster a pit stop, he still had to retire in the end.

A warm-up crash with injury prevented Nicolò Bulega deom starting the race. The Italian, who lost control of his Kalex machine at turn 10, sprained his right shoulder and was declared unfit to race. Bulega will try to take part in the Catalán Grand Prix should he pass the medical checks this Thursday.

DNF – FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21 (5th in the championship standings – 60 points)

“It’s a real shame as it was really important to do well here and for our championship situation. This morning we found a good solution for the front-end and I was feeling comfortable aboard the bike but then I tucked the front at the last corner and there was nothing I could do. We will try again in a few days, we’re not giving up!”

NICOLÒ BULEGA #11 (25th in the championship standings  – 5 points)

“I crashed out of the warm up as I lost the front at turn ten. Unfortunately I sprained my shoulder so my weekend was over. See you soon in Barcelona!”
