POINTS AND FRESH CONFIDENCE FOR FERRARI AT LE MANS

#FrenchGP race. Despite the surprisingly dry conditions encountered today at Le Mans, it was not a race to remember for the L’Indonesian E-Racing Gresini MotoE who incredibly lost on the sighting lap Andrea Mantovani who crashed out even before making it to the grid – leaving his seventh slot empty.

Matteo Ferrari had a great start and looked in the best racing shape on his Energica #11. He was unlucky, though, as two riders crashed in front of him and cost him a chance to battle for the podium, but this performance gives him fresh confidence as the series will return to action on June 6th at Barcellona.

8th – MATTEO FERRARI #11

“It was a good race overall. I was feeling good with the bike and had the pace to stay ahead. Unfortunately, during the second lap two riders went wide and crashed in front of me, which slowed me down. Luckily enough I didn’t crash, but I had the pace to be in a whole different position today.”

DNF – ANDREA MANTOVANI #9

“A real shame as on the sighting lap, with cold tyres, I made a mistake and crashed. I was pushing a bit more in order for them to reach a good temperature, but I lost the rear in the last split…”
