QJMOTOR GRESINI MOTO2: IT’S TIME FOR THE ASIAN TOUR, FIRST IN INDIA AND THEN JAPAN

The time has come for the Team Moto2 QJMOTOR Gresini Racing to leave for the overseas races: the first one will be in India, on the Buddh International circuit, the new challenge of the 2023 calendar. The two Gresini riders of the intermediate class will therefore have to take advantage of the two sessions on Friday, both extended, for a total of 55 minutes each, to give riders the opportunity to discover all the secrets of the New Delhi track as much as possible, to then give their best in qualifying on Saturday and in the race on Sunday.

Filip Salač and Jeremy Alcoba will then fly off to Japan, where last year the Czech rider conquered the top10 after a good qualifying  session which made him start from the second row, while the #52 rider didn’t make it to the finish line after fighting for the point-zone thanks to a comeback from the twenty-eighth spot on the grid to the 15th position after just eight laps.

FILIP SALAČ #12 (7th in the championship standings with 91 points)

“I can’t wait to start this Asian tour, it’s the best part of the season for me. It will be everyone’s first time in India, I’ve seen some photos and the circuit looks very good, I think we will be able to adapt quite fast: it will be positive for us that no one has any data, it will be fun! Then Japan, where I’m sure we’ll do a good job. I can’t wait to eat Asian food (LOL)!! The goal will be to continue the work done in Misano, where we only thought about our pace and our lap times without paying attention to the position or to the work of other riders and it worked: starting from here I’m sure we’ll bring home a good result.”

JEREMY ALCOBA #52 (17th in the championship standings with 33 points)

“I’m super motivated for the Indian race, it will be a new adventure for everyone and normally I can adapt quickly to new track, so it could be an advantage for us. Then we’ll go to Japan, a place that I really like, the city, the people and especially the circuit. The weather will be a game changer, but the desire to do well is big, and we will give our best in all conditions.”
