DIFFICULT QUALIFYING FOR NAVARRO AT LE MANS

The second day of action at Le Mans was a challenging one for Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2, with Jorge Navarro 15th at the chequered flag in today’s French GP Moto2 qualifying – with more than a second gap from the top.

The young Spaniard, who today had his second crash of the weekend, was unable to find again the same feeling he had during FP1, in which he set his quickest lap-time of the weekend. With that time, Navarro would have qualified one position ahead today.

Nothing is lost, but tomorrow morning’s warm up will be crucial for Navarro to find that Friday morning feeling with his Kalex machine #9, in order to line up on the grid with renewed confidence for the fifth Moto2 race of the year, which will get underway at 12:20 local time (GMT +2).

15th – JORGE NAVARRO #9

“It has been without a doubt a challenging Saturday. This morning I got on track with the goal of finding back the lost feeling, but I soon realised something was missing. We never managed to improve, unlike our rivals. I can’t push the front-end of the bike because it tucks when I do and I can’t save it every time. Unfortunately things are going this way and we need to understand where the problem is. We need to find a solution ahead of tomorrow and if we do so I think we can have a great race, because I feel in good form.”
