CHALLENGING QUALIFYING FOR NAVARRO AT VALENCIA

It was a Sunday to forget for team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 and Jorge Navarro, who could not qualify any higher than 23rd– which means that he will line up on the eighth row of the grid.

The 22-year-old Valencian rider logged a personal best lap-time of 1’36.909 – which was slightly more than a second slower of Marini’s pole position time – in what was a hard-fought qualifying session.

With a good pace in full-wet conditions, Navarro now hopes to put together a solid race in order to wrap his journey with Gresini Racing with a smile. The final Moto2 race of the season starts at 12:20!

23rd– JORGE NAVARRO #9

“This morning, in wet conditions, we found something that helped us a little bit; we weren’t super competitive, but surely quicker than yesterday. I found the limit straight away with the bike, then we made some adjustments, but they didn’t work in our favour. I’m really disappointed because to be racing at home with these type of results is not easy. If the track will be full wet tomorrow maybe we have a chance to do well, although to start so far back in Moto2 is never easy.”
