FOURTH ROW FOR SALAČ, ZACCONE 25TH IN THAI QUALIFYING

Qualifying – #ThaiGP The sun shone at Chang International Circuit for today’s qualifying with Filip Salač directly seeded to Q2 after confirming his top-14 positioning in the morning’s FP3 with the 7th quickest time. The higher temperatures encountered in the afternoon made qualifying a bit more complicated, with the #12 rider in 12th place at the checkered flag: he will line up on row four tomorrow, ready to give it all on track.

Despite the good feeling with the bike in FP3, Alessandro Zaccone did not manage to make it through after Q1. Just like his teammate, the hotter afternoon session did not help the Italian rider find the same feeling with his Kalex machine. After lapping in 1’36.869secs in qualifying, he will start the race tomorrow from 25th place on the grid, ready for a comeback.

12th – FILIP SALAČ #12 (1’36.672)

“Qualifying was complicated due to the different conditions, as it was much hotter. The feeling with the bike was not bad at all: I tried to do my best, which in case turned out to be a 12th place. Let’s see if I can do better in the race, we’ll wait and see!”

25th – ALESSANDRO ZACCONE #61 (1’36.869)

“After the positive feeling in FP3, we chose to use the same set-up in qualifying also, but unfortunately due to the hotter temperatures, the same feeling wasn’t there anymore. We’ll start from the back tomorrow, so we’ll do our best to put together a comeback.”
