A MATTER OF MILLISECONDS AT #GERMANGP

With 28 riders within a second, the opening day for the ninth round of the Moto2 World Championship has drawn to a close with a very levelled field. Jorge Navarro, who was exactly half a second away from provisional pole position, was only 21stin the combined times of today’s two free practice sessions.

The rider of the Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 teamhas completed a total of 39 laps, with the third split – and in particular turns 8 and 10 – being the one to improve ahead of qualifying. The focus will then be on improving the feeling with the front-end, which would help the Spaniard make a big jump up in the timsheeets.

Moto2 action will resume tomorrow from 10:55 local time (GMT +2) with the final free practice session of the weekend, which will be followed by qualifying at 15:05.

21st– JORGE NAVARRO #9

“This morning I didn’t have a good feeling with the bike and I struggled a lot. With some changes, in the afternoon things went a lot better. We were 21stin the end, even though only half a second away from first place! Things went well with the bike in general, although we need to improve the feeling with the front end in the T3. I need to improve especially at turns 8 and 10 where I lose three tenths every lap – and that’s where we have to start focusing on from FP3.”
