SALAČ CLINCHES FRONT ROW AT MANDALIKA

Following a challenging Friday, Filip Salač bounced back the best way possible as he first managed to secure the direct seed to Q2 during FP3 with a time of 1’34.564secs. Once qualifying got underway, he immediately went on attack mode for the quickest possible lap-time: he made it happen on lap three by logging a 1’34.174 that granted him the front row. He will start tomorrow’s race from third place on the grid, ready to have fun on the bike and entertain the fans.

It was a bittersweet day for Jeremy Alcoba who was forced to go through Q1, where he succeeded to make it through also thanks to good feeling and some set-up modifications done with the team. In the final qualifying session he unfortunately didn’t manage to show the same speed and with a time of 1’34.774, he was fifteenth at the end of Q2. He will therefore start the Indonesian GP race from row five.

3rd – FILIP SALAČ #12 (1’34.174)

“After finding myself in the lower part of the timesheets yesterday, today was a positive day: we were able to be quick in FP3 and get direct access to Q2. Then in qualifying I was lucky as I found a good slipstream and managed to set a competitive lap-time. Our race pace is not super quick though so we’ll struggle a bit tomorrow: the target will be the top ten, and we’ll be happy if we achieve it.”

15th – JEREMY ALCOBA #52 (1’34.774)

“It was kind of an unusual day but I’m quite happy anyway. This morning we struggled a bit during FP3 so we decided to make some modifications for Q1: it took me a few laps to find the feeling again but then I felt very good; this allowed me to set the third quickest time and make it through. I thought I would have done better in Q2 but I didn’t have a good feeling with the new tyre and we ended up fifteenth. I would like to thank the team for the work done during these days and for never giving up. They were able to find a good set up for me so we are ready for tomorrow!”
