SALAČ AND ZACCONE: READY TO DEBUT IN MOTO2
#QatarGP preview. It is finally that time of the year: the first race of the season, at the Losail International Circuit, which will see both the Gresini Racing riders officially debut in the intermediate category. Thanks to the great work done during the Jerez and Portimao tests, the team from Faenza is ready to face this first round in the best possible way: we are so excited!
This track is entirely to be discovered by Alessandro Zaccone, who has never been to Qatar before. Turn after turn, the rider #61 has to work hard to quickly learn the ideal trajectories of this track. However, the feeling with his bike found during the tests is already a good start to build an excellent weekend.
On the other hand, Filip Salač has already been in this circuit, but he will have to adapt his driving style to his new Kalex, but the experience already gained in Moto3 here in Doha will be an advantage for the rider #12 who will try to collect the first points of the championship.

“The first race of the season is just around the corner and I can’t wait. I really like Qatar, I have really good memories at this track which is one of my favorites. A fast circuit which, however, with a Moto2 will be a little more difficult, as we struggled a bit in the fast corners during the tests. We will have to work a lot but I think we could make a big step forward in the Free Practices to bring home a good result in the race. I hope you will enjoy it!”

“I am very excited, it is a track that I have always watch on the TV and it has always fascinated me a lot, especially the fact of racing in the evening, a completely different environment from what I am used to: for me it will be all new! I don’t want to create any expectation, I prefer just to enjoy it: I want to keep calm to try to learn as much as possible. I’m sure that having fun, also good results will come by themselves. I hope to be able to do a good job with the bike and to find a good feeling as soon as possible.”
