This is the second pole of the season for Lowes, after that achieved in the GP of Argentina, and the fourth front row start in as many races, demonstrating the high performance consistency achieved by Lowes and the whole team. The World Championship leader will start the race, tomorrow at 11.20 AM, aware of having an excellent pace and to be able to fight the victory.

SAM LOWES (1st – 1’42”408)
“It was a very tight qualifying session! I got a good lap time, also completing a lot of fast laps. We worked hard all weekend on used tyres and we have a good race pace: after the positive tests carried out here in the winter we started the weekend with a good base set-up, and the bike is working quite similar to the tests because the conditions are not too hot this weekend, so I feel good and relaxed. It was nice to arrive in Europe leading the standings and obviously it’s nice to get the pole position! Tomorrow we can have a good race and fight for the win!”.

FAUSTO GRESINI
“This pole position is really important and comes after two really positive days of practice, in which Lowes was consistently fast, working well with the team. Sam proved to have everything it takes to win: we completed much of the work and now we just have to wait for the race. We are really happy: thanks to Sam, the team, and also to Kalex, Ohlins and to all our partners”.
