SEVENTH PLACE FOR SALAČ IN MUGELLO RACE

Race – #ItalianGP  Filip Salač makes Team Moto2 QJMOTOR GRESINI dream for more than half of the race, the team’s home race, as he battled hard for what would have been a even more special podium than usual. The X factor that shattered this dream were the high temperatures that heat up too much the front tyre on a scorching midday in Tuscany, and that turned out to be an insurmountable challenge for the Czech rider. He still managed to finish seventh and to grab some important points for the championship race.

It was a day to forget, on the other hand,  for Jeremy Alcoba who got involved in a multiple-rider coming together at turn one after the start. Unfortunately, the Spanish rider was unable to show his full potential at this track, but he will have a chance to make amends next weekend at the Sachsenring.

   7th – FILIP SALAČ #12.

“It was really a difficult Sunday: we managed to make another step forward compared to yesterday and that allowed us to battle for the podium in the first half of the race. Then I started to struggle managing the front tyre, I couldn’t keep the pace and that is a pity. We are still bringing home some important points for the championship, and we’ll try again in Germany!”

DNF – JEREMY ALCOBA #52

“I was happy this weekend as I had a good feeling with the bike and we managed to work really well; unfortunately the race ended up way too soon: another rider’s crash took me out. This made impossible for us to capitalize on the work done. Luckily I’m unhurt, which is good considering the crash: I could have hurt myself pretty badly. In Germany it will be crucial to work the same way and hopefully we will reap the benefits of it soon.”
