FEDERAL OIL GRESINI MOTO2 READY FOR LE MANS CHALLENGE

In this shortened season a new event is due to begin for Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2: Le Mans will host the first round of yet another tripleheader which will be followed by two weekends at MotorLand Aragon. Niccolò Bulega and Edgar Pons are heading to the French venue with different goals and motivation.

The Spanish rider will tackle this new weekend of racing with fresh confidence after the good performance in Barcelona, even though he has little experience at Le Mans; Bulega, on the contrary, would like to leave behind the latest unlucky happening at Montmeló, and the French circuit could be an excellent ally: there, the Italian rider has already scored a top-five finish in Moto3 and a top ten last year in his Moto2 debut.

NICOLÒ BULEGA #11

“I like the track and I have good memories from the previous years. We’re working very hard with the team and for one reason or another we haven’t been able to capitalise in the races as much as we should have deserved. Le Mans could be the right one: we need a little bit more luck, but we’re on the right track with the bike.”

EDGAR PONS #57

“The weather will be crucial as Le Mans is a very tricky track in that regard, and I imagine it could be even worse in October. This is a track on which I rode very little, but I studied the onboard footage combined with the telemetry data, with the goal to improve further after the decent performance in Barcelona.”
