SILVERSTONE: DIGGIA ON ROW TWO, BULEGA 11th

Silverstone, qualifying. The positive trend continues for Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 in England with Fabio Di Giannantonio and Nicolò Bulega able to put together a good qualifying sessions at Silverstone. If for Di Giannantonio this is his fourth top-six qualifying performance, Bulega was able to match his previous-best grid placements of the season achieved at Losail, Le Mans and Sachsenring.

Both Team Federal Oil riders managed to make a significant step forward compared to the back-to-back Austrian rounds and look comfortable on a fast-flowing track such as Silverstone. With clement weather expected for tomorrow, the two riders will start their 18-lap race from 14:30 local time (GMT +1).

6th – FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21 (2’04.372)

“We achieved our goal: sure, a front-row start would have been better, but honestly speaking we were aiming at the top-six, and we did it. We basically lapped on our own the whole time and tried to make as little changes as possible, which means my riding is improving. I feel good since yesterday and I think with the hard tyre tomorrow we have a pace to battle for the key positions.”

11th – NICOLÒ BULEGA #11 (2’05.057)

“A positive weekend so far. We’ve always been in the top ten and we would have been there as well had my quickest lap-time not been cancelled (2’04.9). We made a good step forward compared to previous races and tomorrow, with the hard-tyre option we are not in a bad place at all. The goal is to have fun and capitalise on the good work done this weekend.”
