TEAM GRESINI AT SPIELBERG TO KEEP IMPROVING
Team Gresini MotoGP arrives to Austria with plenty of certainties and high goals for both Alex Marquez and Fabio di Giannantonio. The Spanish rider, after scoring his maiden MotoGP win, is looking for continuity and a bit of luck, while the Italian is eager to put all the pieces of the puzzle together after showing signs of great speed – without managing to capitalise.
Spielberg, a historically favourable track for Ducati, could be the perfect scenario to confirm all the good things shown in England on both sides of the pit-box. Technical problems aside, Marquez is ready to be among the protagonists at every venue aboard the Desmosedici machine, while Di Giannantonio will be looking to score his best result of the season now that the feeling and the speed seem to be there.
ALEX MARQUEZ #73 (9th in the championship standings with 75 points)
“We’re motivated heading to Austria and it cannot be otherwise, after the win and the extension for 2024… We had the pace also on Sunday in England and Spielberg is a track I like. All the ingredients to do well are there. We’re doing a good job and it’s all a matter of time to be competitive on a consistent basis. KTM will try to steal to do well there, but historically speaking this is a favourable track for Ducati, so we’ll try to make the most of the opportunity.”
FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #49 (16th in the championship standings with 37 points)
“Austria is the perfect opportunity to put all the pieces together and show what we had glimpses of at Silverstone, meaning that we are very quick and ready to do well. The previous event at Spielberg was probably one of the best in 2022, so it’s not time to capitalise and we’re ready for it.”
