FERRARI UP TO SPEED IN AUSTRIA

The Indonesian E-Racing Gresini MotoE enjoyed a positive first day of action at Spielberg, with Matteo Ferrari among the protagonists of today’s two free practice sessions. The #11 finished as high as second in the opening FP, as he found excellent feeling with a track that has never been so favourable to him, so tomorrow he will aim already for an important result in E-Pole.

Andrea Mantovani had a good debut in what was his first-ever day of action around the corners of the Red Bull Ring: no crashes (as he highlighted himself) and a great improvement time-wise across the two sessions with the hope to make another step in the early-morning FP3 tomorrow (at 8:15 local time). The E-Pole will get underway as per tradition at 16:10 GMT +2.

4th – MATTEO FERRARI #11 (1’35.909)

“It was surely a positive day: we got better compared to Assen without upsetting the set-up, which means that the base is now solid. I feel very strong, especially in the T4, while we still need to improve in sectors two and three. We need to work especially for turn four, the most challenging of the track, but our pace makes us competitive already so we just need to improve a little more.”

 16th – ANDREA MANTOVANI #9 (1’37.324)

“I took it easy this morning because I have still in mind the two crashes at Assen. We did a good session in the afternoon as we improved by almost one and a half seconds, while finding a good feeling on a track I never raced upon before. I’m confident for the next sessions, even though we need another step to have a good race on Sunday.”
