TIME FOR RESULTS FOR TEAM FEDERAL OIL GRESINI MOTO2

It has been a slow start to the season for Jorge Navarro, who after the encouraging top-ten results of Losail and Austin he was not able to maintain – due to back luck and crashes – the good trend aboard his Kalex machine #9.

Last time out at Mugello the good news did not come either due to a tumble in the early stages of the race, but the good indications of the post-weekend test have given new ideas to the team. The race simulation performed on Monday was in fact a proof of how competitive the Federal Oil Team Gresini package Is – with Montmeló representing a new chance to do well.

Moto2 action will resume this Friday at 10:55 on a track that returns to its original layout – the same where Jorge Navarro clinched both his first-career win in 2016 (Moto3) and his so-far best Moto2 result (6th).

JORGE NAVARRO #9

“It surely is a special Grand Prix for me: I won my first-ever world championship race there two years ago, so I have fond memories of the track. We come from three difficult races that kept our potential hidden. We need to learn from our mistakes and stay positive because we are quick, we are fit and we never stopped working hard. I will get support from family and friends, which hopefully will help me to get a strong start from Friday.”
