IT IS THAI TIME FOR TEAM KÖMMERLING GRESINI

The Asian adventure begins for Team Kömmerling Gresini Moto3who this weekend will race on the track named “Destination of Speed” at Buriram in Thailand. This will represent a new experience – in some way – for both riders of the white-light blue team…

Gabriel Rodrigo already raced here last year and scored an unexpected top-five result, especially considering the 20thplace on the starting grid. The Argentine rider – however – will race for the first time aboard a Honda on a track that requires a great fitness level – something the #19 cannot fully count on.

It will be the very-first time for Riccardo Rossi, who can build on some encouraging results at Misano (his first two world championship points) and Aragon (with his first direct access to Q2).

The first of four extra-European event in this final leg of the season will see qualifying getting underway at 7:35 local time (GMT+7), with the race scheduled at 6:00.

GABRIEL RODRIGO #19

“Last year I was quick there and truthfully I hope the last two back-to-back races helped me get back in the right rhythm. This is a track with more right-hand corners so more suitable for my riding style and less painful for my body in light of the injuries. We need to bring back some fresh confidence and we are doing it little by little: obviously I want to race at the front, but we must not rush.”

RICCARDO ROSSI #54

“Honestly I think we can do well as we have a good feeling from the last two Grand Prix. I believe that, if we will make the most of the opening day to get to know the track, then Q2 will not be that out of reach. The track is really really good, one where weight and engine will make the difference, so we can work hard to do well.”
