THIRD ROW FOR FERRARI IN #CATALANGP QUALIFYING

#CatalanGP qualifying. Another encouraging day for the Indonesian E-Racing Gresini MotoE team who wraps up day two at Montmeló with a third-row qualifying for Matteo Ferrari.

The 2019 title winner is slowly but surely recovering the lost feeling with his Energica motorcycle #11 and it was even clearer this afternoon as he improved by three tenths of a second on his quick lap, which puts his in a much better position to play his cards right and keep an eye on the front of the field.

Andrea Mantovani could not finish higher than 14th as he did not manage to put together the perfect lap as he lost a little bit of ground on many corner exits. He will line up on row five for the race scheduled at 16:00 local time (GMT +2).

9th – MATTEO FERRARI #11 (1’51.187)

“We’re getting better in each and every outing and today we did a pre-qualifying adjustment that worked well. We’re not that used to make last-minute changes, but the gamble paid off today and our position on the grid is quite good. We still need to work because we’re missing something in order to stay with the leaders.”

14th – ANDREA MANTOVANI #9 (1’51.658)

“I was hoping for something more. We lost some tenths on almost every corner exit. During FP3 we were able to improve by 7-8 tenths and that means that the feeling with the bike and the track is improving.”
