THE MOTO2 TEAM QJMOTOR GRESINI IS READY FOR A TRIPLE ROUND BEFORE THE SUMMER BREAK
After a long break of almost a month, the Team Moto2 QJMOTOR Gresini Racing is leaving for Mugello, where the first of three consecutive rounds will take place. It will be even more special this year for the team, after the tragic situation that involved the city of Faenza and the surrounding areas.
We find Filip Salač in fourth position in the Moto2 world standings, just one point from the TOP3: therefore, it will be essential for the #12 rider to consolidate the result by bringing home important points over these three weekends. The second race, Sachsenring, will be particularly special for him, as it is the one closest to his home, and the presence and support of his family will give him that extra boost to aim even higher.
The DutchGP will close the triplets: Jeremy Alcoba will take advantage of these three rounds to further improve and close the first part of the season with positive feelings, proving his growth with good results before the summer break, to then restart even more motivated.
FILIP SALAČ #12 (4th in the standings with 60 points)
“I can’t wait for the next few races. Mugello is a very nice track and the home race for the team. We just have one day of test there and it was positive so let’s enjoy! Sachsenring is home race instead, so my family will be there with me and I hope we could make a good result there. In Assen we did great last year, one of the best race of 2022 season so I can’t wait to race there too. It will be fundamental for us in this triplets to not do mistakes, claim a lot of points and we will see!”
JEREMY ALCOBA #52 (14th in the standings with 22 points)
“Three last races before the summer break: they’re going to be very important for us to prepare ourself and the bike at the best for the second part of the season. The first race will be in Mugello, a very special one for the team. I will try to do my best there and also in Sachsenring and Assen. I expect to be fast even if there will be very different conditions. Let’s see what happens, but I will give my 100% to work well with the team and make some good results!”
