TOP-11 RESULT FOR ALCOBA IN FRIDAY’S FP COMBINED TIMES

Jeremy Alcoba had a positive start to the Malaysian Grand Prix as he was competitive already from the first FP session. After some adjustments made to the set-up by his crew, the Spanish rider managed to further improve his performance and log a 2’06.804secs lap-time in the second session, which gave him the 11th position at the end of the day.

His teammate Filip Salač had more of a challenging time today in FP1, but the Czech rider was then able to find the rhythm in the afternoon, even when lapping by himself. He was not able, however, to put together the perfect lap and he was only 17th in the combined times of Friday’s on-track action.

11th – JEREMY ALCOBA #52 (2’06.804)

“I’m happy with the work done today, we’re right where we should always be. Now we’ll try to improve some more ahead of tomorrow: I’d like to make another step forward in order to battle for a spot on the front rows of the grid.”

17th – FILIP SALAČ #12 (2’07.149)

“It wasn’t a bad opening day! The first session was quite difficult, but then I managed to find the pace on my own in FP2, and to get up to speed at the same time. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to put together the perfect lap and a good time, as the feeling under braking wasn’t perfect. We need to work on it: we are fast and we can make the most of the third FP session tomorrow to get directly into Q2.”
