TOP10 QUALIFYING PERFORMANCE FOR BULEGA AT MISANO
Nicolò Bulega and Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 continue their upward trend today as they claimed the direct seed to Q2 in this morning’s Free Practice 3 session and then qualified in 10th place. Good feeling and positive vibes ahead of tomorrow’s race, with the Italian rider #11 who showed an interesting race pace – and finished only 0.3secs away from the front row.
A little step forward came for Edgar Pons as well, who keeps improving his performance. After missing out on a possible Q2 direct seed in the morning, and was eighth in the first qualifying session, which resulted in a 22nd position on the starting grid for the #EmiliaRomagnaGP race, which will begin tomorrow at 12:20 local time (GMT +2).
10th – NICOLÒ BULEGA #11 (1’35.979)
“I’m quite happy: we did some important changes to the bike set-up which I liked… Maybe we got to this point a little bit too late, otherwise we would have been a lot closer to the front. In any case we want to see the glass half full and we’ll try to improve some more ahead of tomorrow’s race.”
22nd – EDGAR PONS #57 (1’36.551)
“We’re struggling at this track and I lose a lot of time mid-turn. We have improved in qualifying, even though it wasn’t enough. We’re making a lot of changes to the bike and sometimes it’s difficult to find the right feeling. We will use today’s set-up for the race, and we’ll try to do a bit more work in the warm-up regarding my feeling with the bike. The team is working well and I hope that soon we’ll be able to achieve our goals.”
