TOP-TEN RESULT FOR LOWES IN VALENCIA QUALIFYING

It was a much warmer and windless day at Valencia’s ‘Circuito Ricardo Tormo’ with Sam Lowes who repeated the morning times (1’34.8secs) but could not qualify higher than tenth for the final GP of the season.

The standard bearer of  Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2, who was fourth in today’s combined Times yesterday, managed to improve his performance in FP3 and Q2 by breaking the 1’35sefs barrier – and finishing four tenths shy of Navarro’s pole position.

With 15 riders within a second and a good race pace, Sam Lowes can be among the protagonists of the final showdown of the season 2019 – which gets underway tomorrow from 12:20 local time (GMT+1).

10th – SAM LOWES #22

“We are doing a good job: we made some long runs and I think we have a chance to do well tomorrow. This will be my last race with Gresini so it’s crucial for both the team and I to finish on a high note. Our race pace is good and I know we will have the best chance of the year to get a strong result.”
