TOP3 FOR GONZALEZ AT JEREZ TEST
Three positive days of testing, finally under the sun, in dry conditions, which allowed the two QJMTOR Gresini Moto2 riders to complete their test program.
Manuel Gonzalez reconfirmed himself among the top riders, setting his best crono in the last day in 1’40.385secs, to guarantee him the TOP3 overall. The Spaniard has worked to find the maximum confidence in the corners entry: he succeeds and proves it with a race simulation in day3 with a constant and fast pace, and scoring his best lap in the very last session.
Albert Arenas closes the three-days test 15th in the combined. The rider #75 was able to try a lot of different things, even if in the last day on track he wasn’t able to express 100% of his potential due to some pain on his shoulder, that undergoes surgery this winter and not yet at the top. Focus on the set-up, a few changes where made that allowed him to find the right feeling ahead of Qatar.

“A really positive test, we worked a lot on the setting of the bike, on my feeling with it, to allow me to push harder especially on the corner entry. We did a race simulation and it went pretty well. Then another small change allowed us to make a further step in the time attack, with my best time set all by myself, solo. I’m really happy with this test, we did an almost perfect job and for that I thank the team.”

“This last day we had to change strategy a little bit because I was not physically at 100%. So we decided to focus on the set-up, we tried a couple of things and I’m happy. In general I’m satisfied with these tests, the way we worked: we made a big improvement, especially in the first two days. We don’t know my real potential, but we are on the right way: I can’t wait to get to Qatar and ride on a different track with this bike. We are ready!”
