ANOTHER DOUBLE ROUND: GERMANY AND HOLLAND TO FOLLOW

After a free weekend, the Gresini Racing Moto2 team is ready to hit the track again for the next double challenge: two important races to close the first part of the season before the summer break. The first one in Germany, on the Sachsenring circuit and then off to the Netherlands, at the Assen TT.

Filip Salač arrives very motivated, after the positive sensations gathered during the Catalan weekend: he is looking forward to continue the work done in Barcelona and redeem himself from the crash in the race. Rider number #12 considers Sachsenring to be his home circuit: here, last year in the Moto3 category, he conquered the Pole Position.

Then there will be Assen, where in 2021 Alessandro Zaccone was on the podium, in third position, with his electric motorbike. Knowing this track well and having good memories with it, it will give the #61 rider a little more boost to face the weekend in the best possible way, but this time on a Moto2.

FILIP SALAČ # 12

“I consider Sachsenring to be my home race as I live two hours from the circuit and can’t wait! Last year I took the pole position here, I really like the layout of this track so much, with just a few straights and a lot of corners. Unfortunately, the weekend in Barcelona did not end exactly as we hoped, but the sensations were really good. Let’s start from there with the goal of the top 10. Assen will be a little bit more complicated, even physically, but we’ll try to have fun! ”

ALESSANDRO ZACCONE # 61

“I am curious to discover the Sachsenring circuit, which is completely new to me. I’ve studied it a lot and it looks fun. On the other hand, I know Assen well and I really like it. Last year with the electric bike I set the track record: now I want to try to achieve a good result in Moto2 as well. We will try to work hard in both weekends with the aim of finding a set-up that let me enjoy the tracks!”.
