SLOW START FOR INDONESIAN RACING GRESINI MOTO3 AT VALENCIA
#ValenciaGP Free Practice. The Indonesian Racing Gresini Moto3 team showed up this morning at Valencia’s Ricardo Tormo Circuit with a welcome addition: alongside Jeremy Alcoba, who is going to tackle his last event with the team, there was Jose Antonio Rueda, making his Moto3 World Championship debut in this year’s season finale.
Both riders completed a small number of laps with very similar lap-times: Alcoba was 24th and ahead of Rueda (26th) by only 98 thousandths of a second. Both riders were far from the top of the timesheets, as also the arrival of rain prevented them from improving during FP2.
Despite the injury, Gabriel Rodrigo was also at the track as he chose to spend the FP1 with the team before returning to Barcelona to continue with physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
24th – JEREMY ALCOBA #52
“Today was a strange day: My feeling with the bike was good this morning, but the lap-times did not show it. I had some issues on corner exit at the beginning, but we have been improving little by little, even though when we chose to put the good set of tyres on the rain came and we couldn’t ride as much as we would have wanted to. In the afternoon it was kind of the same story with mixed conditions, but the good feeling stay ahead of tomorrow.”
26th – JOSE ANTONIO RUEDA #95
“I must say it was a good debut. We haven’t lapped much, but especially this morning we have found a good feeling with the bike and the team. It’s a circuit where I know I can be fast but we’ll see tomorrow, hopefully with a dry track.”
