TEAM QJMOTOR GRESINI MOTO2 HARD AT WORK AT BURIRAM

The final racing weekend of the long journey away from Europe has begun, with team Team QJMOTOR Gresini Moto2. The standard bearers of the Italian squad, Filip Salač andJeremy Alcoba, had a challenging Friday while working hard to find the best set-up for their machines.

The Czech rider – only 18th quickest at the end of the day – had a complicated afternoon session, in which he was one of the few who could not improve on their FP1 time. Alcoba, on the other hand, is all the way down in 24th place, with a 1.2 seconds gap from the top. Both riders will need to step up their game in FP3 in order to make it into Q2 from the main door.

“It was a difficult Friday, we cannot deny it. The feeling with the bike is far from ideal and there’s plenty of work to do about it. We especially need to work in the bike behaviour while changing direction; I wasn’t comfortable on the bike today but we know what we need to do to turn things around.

“We arrived at a circuit that I personally like a lot and where last year I was quick from the get-go. We need to do a lot of work on the set-up. Unfortunately the feeling with the bike changes at every corner, but I believe in the team and I’m sure we’ll find the right adjustments to do well already from FP3.”
