“Today we rode almost exclusively on the medium tyre, and tomorrow morning we will focus on the soft. It is also an option for the race, but most of today’s work was done on the medium. Japan has never been a particularly favourable track for us, but today we felt good, mainly thanks to the high level of grip on the track. Everyone will improve tomorrow, and we will have to do the same.”

“11th position does not reflect our pace, so we are still satisfied with this first day. We are not far from being among the frontrunners, and Q1 will ultimately be important to put some more laps on the board. As we expected, my leg gave me some trouble after the surgery just a few days ago, but everything is under control.”
