FERRARI GOES ONE BETTER AND CONQUERS MUGELLO IN RACE TWO

Race2 – #ItalianGP Sunday is all about team FELO Gresini Racing MotoE as Matteo Ferrari stepped atop the podium at Mugello in front of his family, the team and the home fans. By doing so, he completed an almost perfect weekend with the 11th career MotoE podium and the first win of the season. The #11 is a recurrent one for the Italian rider.

Alessio Finello finished in 14th place and repeated the same race result as yesterday, despite being unable to match his race one pace. The Turin-born rider adds two more points to his tally and will now have a little break before the #DutchGP at Assen, where races seven and eight of the season will take place.

🥇– MATTEO FERRARI #11

“I’m so happy: my eleventh podium, an incredible one. To be winning at Mugello, at home, was simply magic. Yesterday I watched carefully race one and saw that Aegerter was really good under braking, so we worked on it this morning and it worked. I started well and was already third at turn one, then I fought until the end. These two podiums at Mugello gave us third place in the standings, and we managed to narrow the gap down to the top a little bit. We will try to repeat this type of result at Assen.”

14th – ALESSIO FINELLO #72

“I’m not too happy with this race as I couldn’t lap at the same pace as yesterday. I’m still struggling to adapt to this format where we get on track only in the afternoon on Saturday and Sunday for the race, without any prior lap. Overall I’m still happy with this weekend: we made a great step forward compared to other races and got close to the second group. We will continue from here at Assen.”
