THAILAND UNKIND TO TEAM QJMOTOR GRESINI

The Thai Grand Prix did not meet Team QJMOTOR Gresini Moto2’s expectations. With Jeremy Alcoba favourably impressing in Australia and Filip Salač on the podium at this track last year, the Italian squad was surely hoping for more.

The Spanish rider still managed to finish in the top 15 in what was a long and difficult race, also due to the high temperatures encountered. He crossed the line in 13th position and bagged three points. Czech Republic’s Salač had an even more challenging encountered and finished outside the points.

There is now one week of rest before the final three races of the season in Malaysia, Qatar, and Valencia.

13th – JEREMY ALCOBA #52

“I had a good pace yesterday, but everything was different today in the race. Track conditions changed quite a lot and unfortunately I struggled more than I expected. We scored a few points, but I’m disappointed because I thought I could battle at the front.”

17th – FILIP SALAC #12

“It’s been a difficult weekend for me. Yesterday’s crash didn’t help, but in the end the feeling with the bike wasn’t bad. I had a good start to the race, but at turn three I got hit by Guevara and from then on, the race changed a bit. Now we need to recover a little and be in the best possible condition for the last three events of the season.”
