INDONESIAN E-RACING AIMING HIGH AT LE MANS

An unlucky E-Pole and a comeback race finished away from the podium: this is the sum up of the first official outing of the season for Matteo Ferrari at Jerez. But it is already time to head to France to make amends for the rider #11 and the Indonesian E-Racing Gresini MotoE.

Last year at Le Mans, Ferrari was second in the E-Pole but was unable to capitalise in the race (he crashed out in race one and was fifth in race two after starting from the back of the grid).

A completely new experience, on the other hand, for Andrea Mantovani, who will have to deal with a new circuit and likely with new weather conditions. The Italians has already shown he can be competitive in the category and the French event will be another important step in his season.

MATTEO FERRARI #11

“After the preseason and the first race in Jerez I can say that finally we have found a good base to work on at every track. We need to work hard in order to be competitive in the early laps and to perform better in the E-Pole, but we’re on the right track. We need some confirmation at Le Mans and being able to battle for the podium, even though the weather might complicate things. We showed we can be competitive there in 2020, so I see no reason why we cannot do the same this year, too.”

ANDREA MANTOVANTI #9

“I never rode at Le Mans before, so the PlayStation and MotoGP 2021 have helped me a lot this week in order to understand the track a little. We want to keep improving at every event, even though we know it won’t be easy on a completely new track – and with the rain that can play a part, too. In any case, I’m ready!”
