INDONESIAN GP: LÓPEZ FIGHTS BACK TO FINISH EIGHTH

ALONSO LOPEZ #21

“Overall, it was a positive race and we learned a lot. With the six-place grid penalty, we had to start from 17th, so we knew it was going to be a difficult race. I’m happy because I crossed the finish line leading the second group, after fighting throughout the race. I was faster, but I wasn’t able to break away. We took home the best result we could realistically aim for starting that far back, so we can be happy with the outcome. We have a good, solid base to build on in Australia.”

 SERGIO GARCIA #3

“We’re closing out a very difficult weekend. Today, my goal was simply to finish the race, and I managed to do that. It was extremely hot: with a full tank, the feeling was good, but I struggled more towards the end of the race. For Australia, I’ll need to be in better shape if I want to get back into the points.”
