MANDALIKA: TOUGH QUALIFYING FOR THE ITALJET GRESINI MOTO2 TEAM
ALONSO LOPEZ #21
“I’m feeling calm because we had a small technical issue this morning that prevented us from doing the work we had planned, so we didn’t have enough information going into qualifying. We were therefore starting more or less blind, but we still managed to improve and get faster. We know what we’re missing and we’ll work on it for tomorrow. It’s going to be a good race, definitely one where we’ll have to fight our way forward. We’ll give it everything we’ve got and see where it takes us.”
*6 grid positions penalty
SERGIO GARCIA #3
“Another day is done. I didn’t improve as much as I would have liked, but I’m trying to understand where I’m struggling the most so that I can make a step forward. I still have quite a bit of work to do on my riding. Tomorrow, the goal is to finish the race.”
