MALAYSIA, QATAR AND VALENCIA TO CLOSE THE 2023 SEASON

It is time to leave for the last triple of the 2023 season: three races left to reach the  final goal and aim higher in the championship standing, where the QJMOTOR Gresini Moto2 riders are currently in ninth (Salač) and seventeenth position (Alcoba).

The first round of three will take place in Malaysia, at the Sepang International Circuit, where last year Jeremy Alcoba took home a ninth place while number #12 crossed the finish line just a step away from the top10. Then the team will fly off to Qatar, where the two standard bearers had distinguished themselves in 2022 on their debut in the intermediate category: Filip Salač in fact closed his first Moto2 qualifying with an excellent fourth position, crashing later on in the race, while the Spanish rider was taking  home his first Moto2 points.

We will then return to Europe for the grand finale of the championship which will be in Valencia, where the Team Moto2 QJMOTOR Gresini Racing will have three bikes on the grid: together with Salač and Alcoba in fact there will be Matteo Ferrari who, after an excellent season in MotoE, is ready to prove himself in a completely different category.

FILIP SALAČ #12 (9th in the championship standings with 108 points)

“I can’t wait to get back on track for the last three rounds: unfortunately the last races didn’t go as we wanted so the desire to redeem myself is huge, I’m really motivated. In Malaysia it will be very hot so we will have to work hard with the team, while in Qatar last year we qualified in fourth position on my debut in Moto2. Then there will be Valencia, a track that I really like, I lived there when I was younger so I’m always happy to go back there!”

JEREMY ALCOBA #52 (17th in the championship standings with 42.5 points)

“I would like to end these three weekends in the best possible way, I will try to give my best in every single race: in the first two it will be hot, while in Valencia the temperatures are going to be significantly lower. Last year I managed to be quite fast in all three circuits, so I know we can have three good races and end the season on a high note: it would be the best way to say goodbye to my team.”
